About a year ago we met Kristin Andress and Jeanes-Lowry as the authors inspired readers with their first book Imagine Being in a Life You Love. Suite101 recently caught up with Kristin Andress as she shared how this past year has been and what readers can expect next.
Imagine Being in a Life You Love Makes Amazon Best Seller List
For Andress 2010 was an exciting year. “It was a whirlwind of book signings for Imagine Being In a Life You Love in Illinois, San Diego and London,” she says. “We made the Amazon bestseller list on July 19. I was on TV and radio several times and featured in First For Women Magazine. It was definitely a year of firsts and fulfillment.”
Suite101 wanted to know what reader feedback the author had received over the course of the past year. Andress responds: “It seems Imagine Being landed in many people’s hands at just the right time. With so many transitions and changes facing people, they needed encouragement and a process to follow to design their intentions and manage the setbacks or the pings of life. I hope we created much more capacity to be Ping-Masters in the world!
She continued to tell Suite101 that she had a special and meaningful opportunity to speak with a group of women in a crisis shelter. “When I talked with them about being the cause of positive life happenings and their own opportunity makers I watched them light up. No matter where you are in your life right now, you can Imagine Being in a Life You Love and you can begin to live it.”
Next Steps for Imagine Being in a Life You Love
Every time someone shares with Andress how the book has impacted his or her life it inspires her brand of Imagine Being anew. “Touching lives like that? Doesn’t get any better!” she reports. “I would like to reach millions with the message of the fact that we are the creators of the stories of our lives.” Andress is already walking her next steps.
She has launched a speaking career and intends to take stages around the world to share the “idea of individuals being the cause, opportunity maker, reason, energy and light in your life and even in others lives.” She consults on how to take an idea explode it to the possibilities - harnessing the power of imagination and possibility. “I post regularly on Facebook, write Blogs, and share articles.” But that is not all, Andress is also exploring joint ventures that she hopes will bring her brand to more and more people in communities all over the U.S. and eventually, internationally.
Andress has also started on her second book. “My desire to help people to create the story of their lives is intense. I anticipate curriculum corresponding with both books and maybe even a certification program.” Andress is certainly the creator of her own remarkable success and living the message she is teaching in her own life.
In closing Suite101 asked Andress about her professional and also personal goals for the coming year.
“My personal goal is to really tune in to practicing what I write about. I intend to manage my mindset to stay positive and focused. As you can imagine, having co-authored Imagine Being In a Life You Love I am often asked if I am in a life I love. I can honestly answer, more often than not, because I am very deliberate with my intentions and that creates more opportunity for the enjoyment of life. I like the idea of being a very intentional leader of my life - certainly a personal goal.”
Professionally, Andress is continuing to build her brand of “helping people create the stories of their lives on their terms.” Besides her speaking career, and finishing a second book, she continues to seek a presence in media and collaborates with others “who are up to great impact in the world.”
